This course provides an overview of ways to prevent Legionella in North Tyneside Schools. It is aimed at giving knowledge to help duty holders and appointed persons to comply with their responsibilities under current regulations.
This course is designed for duty holders requiring information on the main aspects of legionella and Legionnaires disease, its implications and the need for controls. It provides training for Head Teachers, responsible persons and duty holders of water systems. Course Duration: 2 Hours
Background, history, microbiology and legislation relating to legionella and Legionnaires disease.
Health and Safety law and the hierarchy of Acts, Regulations, Approved Codes and Guidance, including ACoP L8 and technical guidance HSG274.
Compliance requirements: risk assessment and competence, written scheme and management and control.
